<image:title>About Osteopathy - About Osteopathy</image:title>
<image:caption>Osteopathy is a holistic hands-on approach to healthcare that emphasises the interconnectedness of the body, mind and spirit. The practice of osteopathy is based on a set of principles that essentially views symptoms in the specific context of each individual, seeking to understand a person’s unique story - to get to the root of why symptoms are arising. Osteopaths employ a comprehensive understanding of the body’s anatomy and physiology, along with visual observations and attuned palpation to identify blockages and/or disruptions to the internal harmony in the bodies of those they work with. Through hands-on treatment osteopaths gently guide and encourage the body’s natural ability to heal and flourish - promoting vitality and the restoration of equilibrium by harnessing the wisdom and self-healing abilities that all bodies possess.</image:caption>

<image:title>Babies & Children - Osteopathy for Babies & Children</image:title>
<image:caption>I am a paediatric osteopath with specialist training in treating babies and children, having trained for two years at the prestigious Osteopathic Centre for Children (OCC) in London, where I gained my postgraduate Diploma in Paediatric Osteopathy. This comprehensive training includes all the stages of childhood from newborns through to adolescents - covering the diagnosis, examination and use of gentle techniques suitable for each age and stage. Osteopathy can support children with a broad range of issues. Crucially we do not treat ‘conditions’ but rather seek to view the symptoms that babies and children express through a holistic lens. Your child is a unique individual with a unique story to tell! I believe my work is to understand their story and thereby get to the root cause of their symptoms. Treatment is very gentle and subtly guides and supports young bodies towards ease and vitality.</image:caption>

<image:title>Pregnancy - Pregnancy</image:title>
<image:caption>Osteopathy during pregnancy supports the health and well-being of women as their bodies go through the most extraordinary shape-shifting process that is required to grow a baby. I love helping women to feel comfortable and at ease during this time, and also supporting them to prepare for the birth and the postpartum period. My postgraduate training at the Osteopathic Centre for Children included studying the incredible anatomical and physiological transformations of the female body durning pregnancy, and this has equipped me to give specialised treatment to pregnant women experiencing musculoskeletal issues such as pelvic girdle pain (PGP). Treatment during pregnancy also positively influences the growing baby, allowing for optimal alignment and positioning in preparation for birth. I very often go on to meet and treat the babies of the women I’ve treated during pregnancy, once they are born, and this brings me a lot of joy!</image:caption>

<image:title>Postpartum - PostPartum</image:title>
<image:caption>Osteopathy for postpartum women focuses on the health and well-being of new mothers: aiding recovery; addressing pain and discomfort; and supporting the physical demands of caring for a newborn. I am passionate about looking after new mothers and I am proud to be an Innate Postpartum Care provider having completed Rachelle Garcia Seliga’s nine-month course. This training has given me an in-depth understanding of what it takes to have a thriving postpartum period and a true appreciation for the value of mother-centred care. When we support mothers to feel good we are in turn supporting health and wellness for their babies and children, and the community at large. Whilst the postpartum period is most commonly considered to be the six weeks after giving birth to a baby, we are also postpartum after a stillbirth, a miscarriage, or an abortion. I am passionate about supporting the health and wellness of women in and throughout all of these postpartum scenarios. And I believe that the postpartum period stretches way past six weeks, and that actually we can be considered to be postpartum for the rest of our lives after a pregnancy. It’s never too late to tend to issues that arise from this incredibly important and transformative time in our lives.</image:caption>
